Leibovitz L-15 Medium supports the growth of HEP-2 monkey kidney cells and primary tissue blocks from embryonic and adult tissues. L-15 is buffered with phosphate and free amino acids rather than sodium bicarbonate. This medium is suitable for supporting cell growth in a non-CO₂ balanced environment.

Use Leibovitz L-15 Medium
L-15 does not contain proteins, lipids or growth factors. Therefore, F-10 requires additives, usually 10% -Culture/fbs.html">Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS). Gibco™ L-15 Cell Medium in powder form requires pH adjustment and filtration during preparation (see Protocol).
