About the Anion Trap Column

Dionex IonPac CTC-1 and Dionex IonPac CTC 500 Cation Trap Column contain Microporous hydronium ion type cation exchange resin. Cation trap columns remove trace amounts of cationic contaminants from the eluent and/or deionized water before they enter the guard or analytical column. Cationic contaminants in the eluent and/or deionized water often interfere with the accuracy of trace cation determinations, especially in cation exchange applications involving gradient eluents.
