Translucent and semi-rigid tubing are also used in demanding laboratory applications such as chromatography, trace metal analysis, contamination sampling, highly reactive catalytic processes, metal corrosion testing, pharmaceutical work, dissolution and hot acid etching. Food grade materials comply with the requirements for food packaging in 21 CFR 177.1520.
