CellROX™ Deep Red Reagent is a novel fluorescent probe for measuring cellular oxidative stress in live and fixed cell imaging Excitation, maximum absorption/emission wavelength ∼644/665 nm. This cell-permeable dye does not fluoresce in its reduced state but emits bright fluorescence after oxidation by reactive oxygen species (ROS).

Features of CellROX™ Deep Red Reagent:

• Optimized probe for detecting oxidative stress in cells
• Simple protocol that can be used with Other Live Cell Dyes and GFP Use
• Compatible with live cell fluorescence imaging and formaldehyde-based fixation methods

Substrate Specificity
CellROX™ Deep Red Reagent is a A new cell-permeable dye with maximum absorption/emission wavelength ∼644/665 nm. CellROX™ Deep Red reagent does not emit fluorescence in the reduced state, but emits fluorescence after oxidation by reactive oxygen species. The maximum emission wavelength is ∼665 nm, which can be analyzed by fluorescence imaging, high-content imaging, fluorescence microplate readers, or flow cytometry. Measurement.

Oxidative stress detection using CellROX™ Deep Red Reagent
Caused by an imbalance between the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and the cell's ability to clear them Oxidative stress. ROS play an important role in the progression of several diseases, including inflammation, atherosclerosis, aging, and age-related degenerative diseases. CellROX™ Deep Red Reagent detects oxidative stress in cells by reacting with ROS to emit bright fluorescence.

Simple and reliable protocol
The protocol using this reagent is simple and the bright deep red fluorescent signal is compatible with other live cell dyes and GFP, making it useful for many applications. Pathway fluorescence detection to measure a variety of cellular phenomena, including parameters related to cytotoxicity and cell death (Figure 4 below). Additionally, unlike many other ROS sensors (such as H2DCFDA), the signal from CellROX™ Deep Red can be preserved after formaldehyde fixation, allowing for flexibility in the assay and improved workflow compared to classical dye-based ROS detection.
