Features of NuPAGE Tris-Acetate gels include:
High Resolution—Gels provide efficient separation of high molecular weight proteins
Better protein integrity Stability—Optimize sample preparation process to help preserve proteins
Longer shelf life—Gels can be stored for at least 8 months

Choose the right NuPAGE Tris-acetic acid gel for protein separation
Get the ideal separation of high molecular weight proteins by choosing the right combination of gel and electrophoresis buffer. NuPAGE Tris acetate protein gels have a polyacrylamide concentration of 7% and a gradient of 3–8%. The gels are available in two sizes: small gel (8 cm x 8 cm) or medium gel (8.7 cm x 13.3 cm), with a thickness of 1.0 mm (small and medium gels) or 1.5 mm (small gels only) . NuPAGE Tris-acetic acid precast gels are also available in a variety of well sizes. Mini gels can be run using our XCell SureLock mini gel electrophoresis tank (EI0001) or mini gel electrophoresis tank (A25977). Midi gels can be run using our XCell4 SureLock Midi Tank (WR01000), or conveniently run using our Bio-Rad Criterion™ electrophoresis tank using our adapter (WA0999).

Can run denatured or non-denatured forms of proteins
NuPAGE Tris-acetate protein gels are SDS-free and can be used to separate denatured or non-denatured forms of proteins. For denatured proteins, we recommend using NuPAGE LDS Loading Buffer (NP0007) and NuPAGE Tris-Acetate SDS Running Buffer (LA0041). For native proteins, we recommend Novex Tris-Glycine Native Loading Buffer (LC2673) and Novex Tris-Glycine Native Running Buffer (LC2672).

To transfer proteins to membranes, we recommend using NuPAGE Transfer Buffer (NP00061) for traditional wet transfer using the XCell II Blotting Module (EI9051) or Mini Blotting Module (B1000). Alternatively, use the Invitrogen Power Blotter for fast semi-dry transfer or the iBlot 2 Gel Blotter (IB21001) for fast dry transfer.
