The Thermo Scientific GeneRuler 1 kb DNA ladder is recommended for double-stranded DNA ranging from 250 bp to 10,000 bp on agarose Perform size determination and approximate quantification. DNA molecular weight standards consist of 14 DNA fragments and contain 6X TriTrack DNA loading dye.
Features of the 1 kb DNA Ladder
• Easy Visualization—Three-color DNA mobility tracking using 6X TriTrack DNA loading dye during electrophoresis (Contains xylene cyanine FF, bromophenol blue and orange G)
• Simplicity—one loading dye for a variety of samples
• Bands are obvious b>—Clear results from a mixture of individual DNA fragments purified by chromatography
Product Use
This double-stranded DNA molecular weight standard is compatible with 1 % standards and precast agars Sugar slab gels can be visualized after staining with ethidium bromide or SYBR Safe. Due to the uniform band intensity and bright reference band, sizing and orientation can be easily performed. A defined amount of DNA in each band allows for approximate quantification of sample DNA.
