According to the bacterial count test procedure, the instrument display is designed with three digits. When the number of colony growth in a petri dish exceeds 300, the test sample should be diluted and redone to ensure the accuracy of the count. This instrument can lighten the labor intensity of the experimenter, improve the work efficiency and work quality.
Products are widely used in food, beverage, drugs, biological products, sanitary products, drinking water, industrial waste water, clinical specimens in the number of bacteria test. It is a necessary instrument for health and epidemic prevention stations, environmental monitoring stations, food and hygiene supervision and inspection stations, hospitals, biological products laboratories, drug testing stations, food factories, daily chemical plants, universities and research institutes.
Operating Instructions:
A. Switch on the power supply and turn on the light of the counting chamber. Plug the probe into the instrument socket, then press the Reset key to zero the instrument for standby operation.
B. Place the petri dish to be tested steadily on the counting chamber.
C. Count colonies one by one on the bottom of the petri dish using the probe pen. A clear clicking sound indicates a valid count; reposition and recount if no sound is heard. The counted colony will be marked with color, and the instrument will accumulate the total number automatically.
D. Carefully inspect the entire petri dish with a magnifying glass to ensure no colonies are missed and the counting is complete.
E. The value displayed on the screen is the total colony count of the tested petri dish.
F. Record the counting data and remove the petri dish. Press the Reset key to restore the instrument to its initial standby state.
Matters Needing Attention:
A. Place the instrument on a flat, stable surface before use.
B. Avoid excessive tilting of the probe during counting. Gently press the probe down until a rebound sensation is felt to complete valid data entry.
C. Protect the instrument from moisture, vibration, direct sunlight, acid and alkali corrosion. Cover the instrument with a dust cover after use.
D. Take precautions to prevent bacterial contamination of the counting chamber during operation.
E. Do not disassemble the instrument or probe arbitrarily. In case of equipment failure, contact professional and experienced technicians for maintenance.
