Test Principle:

The reagent is used to detect the Ebola viruses in serum, plasma and whole blood qualitatively as an aid in the diagnosis of Ebola virus infection.

This reagent is based on the immunochromato graphic test principle,anti-Ebola viruses antibody 1 and goat anti-mouse IgG antibody were coated on nitrocellulose membrane.Anti-Ebola viruses antibody 2 were labeled on the colloidal gold conjugate pad. When the sample contains the Ebola viruses antigen, it forms a complex with the colloidal gold labeled anti-Ebola viruses antibody 2. The complex moves forward under the action of chromatographyand combines with the anti-Ebola viruses antibody 1 which is coated at the test line to form a colored line, that is a positive result. When the sample does not contain the Ebola viruses antigen, no complex can be formed at the test line region, and no colored line appears, that is a negative result.

To serve as a procedural control,a colored line will always appear at the controlline region indicating that the proper volume of sample has been added and membrane wicking has occurred.
