I. Main Structure

The double‑J stent consists of double‑J catheter, pusher tube and guidewire, among which the pusher tube and guidewire are optional accessories. The single‑J stent is composed of single‑J catheter and guidewire; the single‑J catheter includes catheter body and connector, and the guidewire is optional accessory. Supplied in sterile condition, sterilized by ethylene oxide for single‑use only.

II. Main Functions

1. Urinary tract support: After ureteral surgery, lithotripsy or for ureteral stricture, it props open the ureteral lumen to prevent adhesion, closure or collapse of the duct wall and maintain unobstructed ureteral passage.
2. Urine drainage: It drains urine from the renal pelvis downwards to relieve hydronephrosis, reduce renal pelvic pressure and protect renal function.

III. Scope of Application

It is suitable for various urological surgeries for urinary tract support and urine drainage; for indwelling placement after ureteral lithotripsy & stone retrieval, plastic surgery, obstruction and stricture procedures.
