Purpose: A general-purpose nutrient medium used for the cultivation of various microorganisms. It can also be used for the purification and yellow pigment production test of Cronobacter sakazakii.

Composition (g/L):

Tryptone: 15.0

Soybean Peptone: 5.0

Sodium Chloride: 5.0

Agar: 15.0

pH Value: 7.3 ± 0.2 at 25°C.

Testing Principle:

Tryptone and Soybean Peptone provide nitrogen sources, vitamins, and growth factors; Sodium Chloride maintains balanced osmotic pressure; Agar is the solidifying agent for the medium.

Usage:

Weigh 40.0g of this product, heat and stir to dissolve in 1000ml of distilled water. Dispense into conical flasks, and sterilize by autoclaving at 121°C for 15 minutes. Store for later use.
