Product Purpose:
Nutrient agar plates are a universal nutrient medium used for general bacterial culture, subculture, revitalization, and enrichment, etc.
Product Features:
1. Sterile packaging
• Outer Layer: Nylon vacuum bag
• Inner Layer: Paper-plastic bag
• Multi-layer Protection, Reducing Contamination Risks
• The two-layer packaging allows for step-by-step unwrapping, effectively preventing external contaminants (such as dust) from entering high-cleanliness areas and ensuring the aseptic nature of the medium.
2. Refrigerated transportation
Maintains the stable performance of the medium, reduces the risk of microbial contamination, and ensures the accuracy of experimental results.
3. Scientifically formulated
Agar: Serves as a gelling agent, keeping the medium solid at room temperature.
Beef Extract: Provides vitamins, minerals, and other growth factors.
Yeast Extract: Rich in B vitamins, amino acids, and nucleotides.
Peptone: Provides the nitrogen source, amino acids, and peptides required for microbial growth.
Precautions:
1. Aseptic Operation: Perform operations under aseptic conditions to avoid contamination. Disinfect the workbench, tools, and hands before use.
2. Storage Conditions: Unused plates should be stored in a refrigerator at 2–8°C, avoiding high temperatures and direct sunlight.
3. Preheating: After removing from the refrigerator, allow the plate to return to room temperature before use to avoid condensation affecting microbial growth.
4. Avoid Excessive Exposure: Use the plate as soon as possible after opening to minimize its exposure time to air.
5. Proper Inoculation: Use a sterile inoculation loop or pipette for sample inoculation to avoid cross - contamination.
6. Waste Disposal: After use, plates should be sterilized in accordance with biosafety regulations to prevent environmental pollution.
*For scientific research only; clinical use is strictly prohibited.
Suitable for Various Experimental Scenarios
• Microbial Culture: Provides nutrients and an environment required for the growth of microorganisms (e.g., bacteria, yeast, mold).
• Isolation and Purification: Isolates different microorganisms from mixed samples to obtain pure cultures.
• Colony Counting: Used for quantitative analysis of microbial populations (e.g., microbial testing of food, water, and other samples).
Wide Range of Applications:
• Chemical Testing
• Environmental Monitoring
• Agricultural Testing
• Food Testing
Usage steps:
STEP 1
Open the plate on the ultra - clean workbench.

STEP 2
Transfer an appropriate volume of bacterial suspension to the plate.

STEP 3
Use an inoculation loop or spreader to evenly spread the bacterial suspension. Be careful not to scratch the medium. A plate spreader can be used in combination.

STEP 4
Cover the lid and invert the plate into the incubator for cultivation.
